Life

The youngest is ready for Halloween.  She had a "dress like your favorite book character" day at school to kick-off the read-a-thon.  She is Annabeth from the Percy Jackson books.  It was a pretty inexpensive costume.  The t-shirt was purchased with a Michael's coupon.  We had the beads and other supplies for the necklace.  The hat was a bargain at Walmart.  Sharpies were used to add designs on the beads and the writing on the t-shirt.  Done!
I have been spending time outdoors.  It has been just beautiful with highs in the 70's and no rain.  No snow for sliding yet!
Yes, that is the "Mom, do you really have to take a picture?" look.  The leaves are down in the front.  Two big trees are still in process in the back.
Last week the younger two had days off from school.  The youngest was on the go--a sleepover, a water park, a fun run, and a visit to an apple orchard.
Here is my fun October dishcloth.  I am out of yarn now and I will need to stock-up if I'm going to continue doing the two knit-a-longs each month.  Michael's has Sugar-n-Cream on sale this week.  What can I say, it is a cheap hobby at $1.25 per cloth.
Here is another pastime I might try.  Have you seen the collage picture frames where they have a word made out of pictures of architectural details?  I only have four letters so far.  It would be fun to walk around downtown with a camera.  I'm sure I could find all kinds of possibilities.  Christmas is coming!
Until next time!
