Snowfall

Last December 9th was our first good snowfall of the year.

Today it is supposed to be 92 and even hotter tomorrow. I don't think we'll be seeing any snow for a few months!

Late Fall Walk

Just the usual--pictures from the arboretum and fooling around with photo editing!

Santa Baby

The youngest loves to wear a Santa hat during the Christmas season.

Here we have a combination of the nerd from Halloween plus Santa. The glasses are another fun item to wear just because.  I do love her!

Miscellaney

I have gotten sidetracked from trying to add pictures in order by working on this year's vacation photos.  We went on a road trip to Yellowstone right after July 4th.  It was quite an experience and the scenery was breathtaking.  Anyway, that will come later.  Here is our charming, but incredibly hard to photograph, Emmy.

When the kids were a bit younger we tried to make something (often ornaments) as a family project. These were from a kit, but you could easily make them by just buying supplies. It is just a ribbon with beads strung up the center.  This reminds me that I have a felt gingerbread house kit from last year to be worked on.  Forty-eight hour days anyone?

Have a great week!

Macy's and Some Fans

As is our tradition we went to Macy's Christmas auditorium show "A Day in the Life of an Elf."

The rabbit directing the caroling trees.

Chores in the reindeer stable.

Letters to Santa.

The candy factory

The girls usually get a gingerbread cookie to top things off.

My littlest niece gave us fans at Thanksgiving. We facebooked her a picture via her mom that said it was from her fans--ha!

Have a good weekend or should I wish you a Merry Christmas?

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

Seed covered statues and the 20' tall poinsettia tree at the arboretum helped kick-off the Christmas season.
