Stardom

This summer the youngest was a reporter and a dreamworks dancer in Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory at the dance studio we go to. She is always our star!

Random

Middle daughter and I got going on jigsaw puzzles a few years ago and then she kept it up. This 3-D puzzle has been put together a couple of times now.

Is this how your family waits in a public place?

The Art Institute often has fun family crafts.  They are easy enough for children, but they can be great for adults too.  They are what you make of them.  This was a tri-fold paper house with all kinds of doo-dads to decorate with.

Ok, I think I may have added some color to this picture with Picmonkey. What grass is that green?

 I heart this picture!

I'm on vacation this week. Yahoo! I think I'm taking it too seriously. I'm so exhausted that I could do a face plant right here at the desk and it isn't even 7pm.  I hope you are having a great weekend!

I Paid a Visit

to a lake that I spent a lot of time at when I was in my teens and 20's.  When I was in my teens I'd often bike to this lake and around it with my friends.  In my 20's I did some running and this was the sight of many training laps.  It is still just as beautiful and I intend to pay a visit to it more than once next summer.

Random

Our first and possibly only batch of welcome home cupcakes made by middle daughter for the youngest when she came home from camp.

These two have kind of a love hate relationship being closer in age. I still remember when the oldest was leaving for camp--probably after 3rd grade--middle daughter gave her a hug that included jumping up and clutching her with arms and legs like she was never going to let go! This picture is posed.

It wasn't planned, but I like how the branch frames this scene.
Election Day and then no more ads! Ya-hoo!
