Valentine's Day

Two of my sweeties on Valentine's Day.  Dinner was heart-shaped waffles with strawberry sauce and heart-shaped jello.  I have no pictures of it, but the day before these two and I heard a wonderful orchestra concert with music from Romeo and Juliet.  There was a guest clarinetest who played a classical piece. He was quite a showman. I love the red and pink of Valentine's Day and I will be sad to put away the few decorations that I have. Next up, St. Patty's Day.

Gifts

In addition to chocolate : ) for Valentine's Day , the girls will be getting these.  A mini composition notebook covered with fabric and a bookmark.  The directions for the notebook cover are here.  The notebooks I found were at Target.  They were two for $1.00 and the size was different so I adjusted accordingly.  What a great way to use some extra fabric.  The covers don't have to be just for Valentine's Day.  The bookmark directions are here.  So many fabulous ideas!  Enjoy the weekend!

Small

 These days I am into small projects.  Small projects that use up what I have and that don't take too long.  I wish I could say that I made this cute snowman, but credit for him goes to one of my Girl Scouts from a few years ago.  I made the mittens that got finished after Christmas when the tree was down.  The pattern came from here.  I learned how to cast on in the middle of a row from here.

Next up will be some small valentine projects.  Small is good!
