Family Day

In September we went to family fun day at the newest collegiate's school.  I am not posting a lot of pictures because I don't want the school to be easily identified.  There were some fun activities. Yes, the youngest threw that pie! It was for charity.

The girls had their caricatures drawn. The oldest didn't come with us as she was well into studying by this point.
A cute sculpture by the food area.

This ham trying to let us know it had been a busy day.  It has been a peaceful, but cold three day weekend and tomorrow it is back to work!

Some Sunshine and an Elephant

On one of my walks I came across this pleasant elephant sitting on a bridge rail.  He had obviously been loved judging by his condition.  I took a few pictures and left him in hopes that he'd be reclaimed.
This weekend as the high is below zero on MLK Day hopefully these pictures provide the remembrance of warmth.

A is for Apple

In mid-September we picked apples at the orchard we have gone to for several years.  We like Haarlsons.  This year was not the best due to a late frost. We were also down to only one girl, the youngest, but we still had fun on a gorgeous day.

She still likes sitting in this (even though she is now old enough to own a cell phone) and climbing the trees.

This sign made us laugh.

I loved this old truck. What a great photo spot!

Here are a couple of the scarecrow displays. There is a contest each year.

I feel warmer just looking at these pictures. It is currently 8 degrees. Brrr!

Half-way through the beauty that was September.

It's In the Clouds

2012 was the year I became obsessed with clouds, sunsets, and sunrises.

Fall Glorious Fall

I had to snap a picture of this one any chance I got since she is now at college.  I love this cute top she found at Plato's Closet.

If I were a better wildlife photographer, I would have many pictures of the large number of interesting birds that were at the lake near home.  It must be a stopping point on the trip South.

Still much to be learned out taking pictures, but if I take enough I get some that I feel good about.  Almost Monday again--doggone it!

Some Days are Diamonds

These turtles loved their spot from spring through early fall.

Ok, Let's Face It

I spent many waking hours at the arboretum

and brought whomever I could with me. But how could I resist?

I love the view of this iconic red barn. Have a great weekend!
