The Weekend

We managed to  get a good picture of the youngest in her hat.

She is at the stage where there can be some lack of cooperation.  Com'on, we are not even in the teen years.

On Friday evening she won this dog at a birthday party at an amusement place. When she wins it is always big--giant rabbits, 5 pound chocolate bars.

I worked on this.  I hope the grass sprouts. I'm going to try growing some winter wheat too. It was only 65 cents at the local garden store. Wish me luck!

We're Still Here

We've been busy as everyone is it seems.

The last two weekends have included celebrating someone's 12th birthday.  A week ago today we had six girls over for pizza, a mall scavenger hunt and a slumber party.  It went really well. The girls all get along nicely. Each girl over the years seems to have a friend somewhere a long the line who puts their face in the frosting or frosting all over their face.  This was that year for the youngest! There was a dicey moment right after we started the scavenger hunt where a mall security guard told one of my older daughters who was with a group that scavenger hunts weren't allowed, but in the next breath he told  them to keep their papers out of sight.  After that it went off without a hitch.  They had to figure out which store to go to from clues and then either have a picture taken, or buy something, or answer a question. Sephora gave each girl a free perfume sample which was a big deal to them.  After the guests left, I made picture collages on Picnik.com for each girl and they'll get them with their thank yous. Thak you Ritz Camera for having 8x10's on sale for $1.

Here is the birthday girl wearing one of her gifts.  Happy St. Patrick's Day to you!
