Easter

We had a nice Easter spread out over a couple of weekends. I don't, unfortunately, have any pictures of our church. It looked beautiful this morning with all of the Easter lillies in front. Here are a couple of my decorations.
The youngest made this decoration at a program at church on Thursday evening.

Here they are last night hard at work dying eggs. Don't worry, that is not our regular tablecloth. It is what we call the art tablecloth. It was a good idea and has gotten a ton of use.

This family picture was taken before the 8:00 service this morning so some of us look a little sleepy!

Goofing around always perks them up.

Here are the goodies from mom and dad. It is fun to find things to fill the baskets up. The girls got sandcastle molds, beach towels, cute little wooden ducks, Dove bunnies and collectible erasers. They are sharing Alvin and the Chipmunks The Squeakquel and a Skip-It.

Then it was time for the egg hunt. A lot of the pictures I took were a bit blurry as they are competitive and in a hurry. They found 36 plastic filled eggs.

The candy gets divided and some people don't like jelly beans. Imagine!

We ate brunch which included the dyed eggs, strawberries, cream cheese dip and empty tomb rolls.

These rolls always taste great!
Ingredients:
Frozen dinner rolls, as many as desired, thawed to room temperature according to the package directions
Large marshmallows, an equal number
Oil to rub on your hands if the dough sticks to them
Sugar
Cinnamon
Pat a roll flat in your hands. Place a marshmallow in the center of each flat circle of dough. Pat the dough up around the marshmallow to form a ball of dough with the marshmallow inside.
Roll the ball of dough in a small bowl of cinnamon and sugar until the ball is completely coated.
Place the balls of dough on foil-covered cookie sheets. Let the dough rise for 15 minutes. Even if the package directions say to let the dough rise longer, it's probably unnecessary for this project. Bake the rolls at 350 degrees for 15 minutes until done.
Surprise! The rolls are empty, just like the tomb was on Easter morning!

The oldest made this egg just for me. The other side was a different color. It was pretty.
Here we are enjoying our brunch. Ignore the background. I hope you enjoyed your day!
