Anxious for Spring

After our recent three day snowstorm, here are some of the sights. It was quite a job for the men who keep the public sidewalks in our association clean to get between the mounds with their snowblowers! It doesn't look so bad now that it is sunny and not snowing.

Another tough task was making sure the mailman could actually get to the mailboxes.

I wonder what the record is for the longest icicle? This one wins at our house.

Through it all, I am trying to keep up with my reading. It seems that every book that I requested, every book that had possibly hundreds of requests prior to mine at the library, is suddenly available. Nothing But Trouble was a good light read.

I really loved this book! It was all written as a series of letters between the characters just like Daddy Long Legs which I also loved when I read it oh so many years ago. I feel like I need to read The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society again as there were many characters and I think I may have missed some things. It also had some very interesting details regarding WWII. I highly recommend this book. Unfortunately, I believe this is the author's only book as she passed away before it was fully edited. Her niece completed it. The kids have read some of the niece's Ivy and Bean books.
Time to finish a few things before the return from school parade arrives!
