Easter

On Palm Sunday we took part in our church's parade.  This is Pancho.

George portrays Jesus every year.  It was a bit chilly, but there was no snow.

The youngest did a good job on her sign.

Since the youngest is having her first communion soon, we took part in a sederfeast meal.  Here she is making matzoh which we contributed.  I don't have pictures of the event itself, but it was very nice.  The tables had white clothes with the Star of David done in purple crepe paper. We had a candle in the center of our table.  The head table had a menorah.  The food included celery which we dipped in salt water, matzoh, egg, lamb, and a fruit dish that represented mortar.  The adults had wine and the children had grape juice.

We didn't do a lot of crafting, but I now have a good supply of ideas for next year.  This was fun.  A folded paper Easter lily from Charcoal and Crayons.  The link is here.

Of course we dyed eggs.

And made our bunny cake.

Since I was not working, we kept the baskets low cost.  The movie, which was excellent, was to share.  The older two got nice new brushes.  The youngest got the Alice in Wonderland DVD.  Everyone got lots of candy and Alice in Wonderland pens.

Here we are all lined up in a row!

The next day I started my new full-time job at a financial services company.  So far so good.  I did, however, get up early this morning to get a few things done.  How early you ask?  5:00 a.m.  On Saturday.

I hope you had a blessed Easter.  Thanks be to God for sending his Son to die on the cross so that we could be saved!
