I have learned that uploaded images appear in reverse order of when I upload them. In other words, the last image I upload appears at the top. I also have learned that I end up seeing the top picture in a post most often. So, even though I came across the beans before this movie, I'd much rather see this movie image more often!

The two oldest and I saw this movie last weekend. It was fantastic! Meryl Streep portrayed Julia Child as I remember her although I didn't see her often. Now I regret that. It is hard to say which was my favorite scene. I liked Julia's onion chopping and Julie's meltdown.

I looked at some of Julia Child's recipes on the internet thinking maybe I'd try an easy one. I'm not sure there is such a thing. I now have a couple of her books on request from the library and so I can pretend until they come in that I'll make something from them.

I can't wait for the movie to be on DVD!

The kids and I went to a hobby/craft store that we hadn't been to before. It was huge! This was my purchase. I don't know that I ever played this game back in the '70's, but I remember it. I was concerned that the questions would be too hard for the youngest or too easy for us grown-ups, but there are three question levels so it was just fine. We had fun!

I had never had these beans before. We tried them in a Mexican Frito Salad recipe that I found at Heritage Schoolhouse. They are very tasty and the salad recipe is a keeper.

What else is a favorite? Having the kids friends over. We had four dinner guests and three spent the night. It was pretty spontaneous. They are nice kids! We had a spaghetti dinner. They played Uno and watched the Hannah Montana movie.
