A Variety of Art

Also earlier this month we spent some time at our city's art museum. I wish had a larger number of good pictures, but here are a few. On this weekend local floral designers created arrangements to go with an art object on display.

They are quite clever. We went to another art museum and sculpture park on the same day to fulfill extra credit history requirements for the middle daughter.

A week later I went back to the first art museum while middle daughter was at a lesson nearby. There was an exhibit of art by everyday people. Anyone who wanted to could have work displayed as long as it was no larger than 1 square foot. Some of the 5,000 items were done by children. I wish I had known about this in advance. Maybe one of us would have entered something. Here are a few pieces I liked or found interesting.

The kids and I will go back before the display ends so that they can see it and be inspired.
